PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Hospital Diversion Program, located in Winooski, Vermont, is a residential program that assists youth who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. These youth require crisis stabilization, comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and disposition, in a staff secure facility. Licensed clinicians and a Board-certified psychiatrist are available 24 hours a day. The program uses a multidisciplinary team model of assessment and treatment planning to provide a family-centered, community-based, cost-effective alternative to hospitalization.
